Rating agency "Moody`s Investors Services Ltd" (Great Britain) has assigned the international rating of financial stability - B1 (Stable outlook) to NEIIC Uzbekinvest.
It is necessary to notice, that Uzbekinvest company was the first and for today while the unique insurance company of the Uzbekistan which was awarded with the international rating. Moody`s notices, that primary strength of Uzbekinvest are extremely strong capitalisation of the Company in relation to accepted insurance risks, a leading position in export-credit insurance and steady position in the internal insurance market. The fact of that the Company is a State owned, is its competitive advantage, along with presence of the state guarantee under obligations on export-credit risks, mutual relationship of Uzbekinvest with AIG both locally and in the UK based joint-venture which provides underwriting and other technical support.
Uzbekinvest was established in April 1994, and in February 1997, reorganized into the national company of export-import insurance. The company is 100 % state owned, with distribution of shares of 83.3 % - the Ministry of Finance of Republic Uzbekistan and 16.7 % - National Bank of External Economic activities of Uzbekistan. Company mission is - Assisting in stimulation of foreign investments attraction into the economy of Uzbekistan and growth of export potential through reliable insurance protection against political, natural and combined risks. The company also carries out all kinds of the general insurance locally.
